Kacper, who has just turned eighteen, will pass his final secondary school exams next year. He lives with his father and younger sister in Borki, a small, godforsaken village in the Masuria region. Apart from an abandoned agricultural farm, there are only three apartment blocks in the middle of nowhere, a chapel and a few old garages turned into henhouses. Forced by the circumstances, after school, Kacper looks for independence by taking any job available: he gives private English classes and works off the books in a local convenience store and a pizza place at the weekends. He spends every spare moment away from home where he has to share a room with his sister. It’s only among friends that Kacper can be himself, not hiding his sexuality or his difficult relationship with his mother, looking for acceptance and love.
